It was with these words, or rather, the initials S.D.G. that Bach ended his cantata scores. We have taken this as our title for two volumes (available separately) of Bach's greatest cantata choruses and chorales. A stunning assemblage of powerful and moving works, performed with great sensitivity and vitality by the Ansbach Festival Choir and Orchestra conducted by their founder, Karl Richter.
